About

Anne Crafts & Designs is my creative practice, rooted in a love for drawing, observation, and making things by hand.

I am an illustrator and printmaker currently working primarily in ink, watercolor, and gouache, creating original works on paper inspired by quiet moments and familiar places. I am drawn to calm scenes — harbours, seaside views, interiors, and everyday spaces — where atmosphere and presence matter more than narrative.

My work often begins with a hand-drawn line, using ink to explore structure and detail, before colour is added in layers. I enjoy the balance between precision and softness, and I’m interested in how simple scenes can hold emotion, memory, and a sense of pause.

Alongside my current painting practice, I have previously worked with linocut, digital illustration and cyanotype and these continue to inform my approach to composition and print. Selected earlier work is still available, while my focus continues to evolve.

Anne Crafts & Designs exists alongside my family life and full-time career, and I approach it intentionally — prioritising thoughtful making, limited editions, and a sustainable creative rhythm.
