What I’m working on now

Over the past year, my creative journey has taken an exciting turn, evolving naturally and slowing down to become more intentional and deeply fulfilling!
Right now, I'm absolutely loving working with ink, watercolour, and gouache, as I create small-scale original pieces (mostly A5 to A4) that I can work on my "Art Desk" as we call it at home (one for the laptop, and one for the Art … so not a single minute is lost setting up... All is always in place).
I was blessed with lots of lovely artistic Christmas presents, from new watercolour paint tubes from Sennelier and Lefranc Bourgeois (two amazing French companies), to new watercolour paper and notebooks and a full palette of gouache from Himi. This is all I could have ever wanted to spark imagination and painting envy in 2026.
I often start my drawings with a sepia ink sketch using a fountain pen, then layer on colours, or use fine liners to add some details. This method lets me dive into details, textures, and atmosphere while keeping everything wonderfully loose and calm.

My heart is drawn to quiet places and moments—scenes that whisper gently rather than shout. I find inspiration in harbours, seaside views, small towns, and everyday landscapes that invite peaceful reflection. These aren't always specific locations, but rather impressions sparked by places I've visited, wandered through, or imagined.
This creative process has become my grounding sanctuary, a key part of my week to resource myself either in the evening midweek or in the afternoon during the weekend. With a full-time job and young children, studio time is precious, so I'm embracing a slower, more intentional approach, focusing on crafting meaningful pieces instead of churning out large volumes of work.
Besides creating original paintings, I want to keep exploring how some of these artworks can be transformed into prints and cards, all while preserving the handmade spirit.
I'm also beginning to dream about expanding my practice beyond finished pieces—perhaps through teaching or hosting small workshops in the future—because sharing the joy of creating feels increasingly vital to me.
This page captures a vibrant snapshot of where I am right now. My work is ever-evolving, and I'll keep updating these studio notes as my practice grows and flourishes.
